The Order of the Pale Flame is a covert cult operating in Firebell. The party has fought their operatives directly and burned down a warehouse the Order was using to hold prisoners. Three members of the Cult of the Silver Sisters were found in stasis in that warehouse, taken alive rather than killed.
Their operatives recognized members of the party on sight at Ironmane’s Forge.
Insignia and Appearance
Rank-and-file operatives wear plain functional armor marked with the Order’s insignia: an ashen flame, pale grey on whatever surface it is stamped on. The insignia is recognizable once you know what to look for; the armor itself is unremarkable. Senior members and field commanders wear full regimental colors: ashen grey with ember-orange trim. The colors function as a rank marker. A Zealot looks like hired muscle until you see the mark; a Drill Sergeant is immediately identifiable.

Firebell, with connections to broader operations in Caviana. The Order’s Firebell cell ran kidnapping operations across the city and maintained the warehouse stasis facility before the party disrupted it.

The Firebell cell was led by an operational head who has since been encountered at the Fractured Workshops. The cell’s financial backing came from Perrin Quinlan, whose estate is now emptied and burned out.
What They Stand For
The Order frames its work as sacred service to Chiezzem: the soul collection is cast as devotional obligation, a harvest that feeds their god. Their operatives treat kidnapping and stasis imprisonment as religious duty. The Order didn’t simply target the Silver Sisters for their souls; removing the cult’s warding presence was the operational goal, because active wards made soul collection in those areas worthless.

The Order specifically targeted Cult of the Silver Sisters members to collapse the spiritual protection those members maintained across Firebell’s districts. Three members were taken in a coordinated strike and held in stasis. They are now under Pauline Tumblefoot’s care at Ironmane’s forge. The party destroyed the Order’s Firebell operatives in the Fractured Workshops, clearing the immediate threat to the revival effort. The Order’s broader presence in Firebell remains.
