This is the account in which Grizzle lost his head.

Not metaphorically. His head. A dullahan took it during an ambush on the road, and Eli sewed it back on. I want to be very clear that both of these things happened in sequence, that Eli did this with professional competence, and that Grizzle’s primary complaint afterward was about the stitching.

Before the head incident: we recovered the wagon, traveled through Gandar, and stumbled into a place called Enou’s Extraordinary Food and Place to Sleep, which advertised itself accurately on all counts except for the part where it tried to kill us. We helped someone named Theck get out. The Kofusachi Shrine involved Azazle falling out of a tree and Eli retaliating, which I have written down exactly as it sounds. The final relic was obtained.

After the head incident: the town of Tuzan wanted nothing to do with us. I cannot say I blame them. We arrived in Lifel to find it burning.
