A merchant the party first encountered in Zamoria, when they found his cart crashed off a bridge. They grabbed his magenta scarf. He presented as a cabbage trader, friendly, disorganized, and in over his head. The party helped him make it to his destination.
He has since turned up in Firebell selling mushrooms out of Ironmane’s Square. He seems to get around.

A human man, unremarkable in appearance. The sort of person you walk past without registering.
Background
The party found Paul’s cart crashed off a bridge in Zamoria and helped see him through safely. He has shown up again in Firebell, now selling mushrooms rather than cabbages. He does not appear to have changed much.
Recent Events
When the party emerged from the Fractured Workshops, Paul was still in the cavern. He wanted the anchor. He made that clear. He growled at Klause — not a normal sound for a human man, and it had an effect on him.
Grizzle and Devon convinced Paul that the anchor had been moved to the Witch King’s Library weeks earlier. He accepted this. Before leaving, he did something to Grizzle. Nobody is entirely sure what, but Grizzle spent an extended and enthusiastic period afterward explaining his views on sandwich construction. Paul then accepted Devon’s suggestion that the party would be dead weight on the Library search, and left alone.
He has not been seen since.
