Devon Westfall is a human bard and the party’s most visible presence in any room he walks into. He has a performer’s instinct for reading crowds, a talent for improvised distraction, and a personal ethic that leads him to put corrupt authority figures in their place when the opportunity arises. He talks about the “rules of thievery” the way other people cite proverbs, attributing them to his mentor. He exaggerates his adventuring credentials frequently and without apparent guilt.
Appearance
Human, average height, with the kind of face that strangers find immediately trustworthy. His clothes tend toward the presentable, enough to pass in a noble’s hall, not quite enough to look like he belongs there.
Role
Devon handles social encounters, performance-based distraction, and the charming misdirection that keeps the party from being noticed. He is genuinely good at making people feel at ease, which he uses strategically. In combat he contributes magical support and, when necessary, direct violence. The party has learned not to underestimate him in a sparring ring.
